Storyline..

Assalamualaikum wbt..

Actually I don’t have much time to update this blog. I was quite busy with my final examination and spending time with family recently. I admit that every time I open and want to write a new entry, I stopped and start to post an entry in my other blog. Sometimes, I also think that who want to read my story? I was just a lonely person who talked to the wall. Haha.

However, my story about portrait drawing is still in progress. Maybe I am not prepared enough to teach others about drawing. I am not a professional in this industry and I am still a beginner, a learner, or an amateur, but I am very excited to share with people what I got, what I have done, and I also want to know the same. I want to share my skills, and still want others to share their skills too. There were too much stories played in my head until I didn’t know where to start.

I want to talk about pencil drawing, but my passion in pen drawing made my storyline got messed. Then, I think I should make a framework before I start to write the stories in here. Well, don’t be too worry, u will catch my stories soon. They are still in progress. Oraitee…?

Gadgets

Assalamualaikum wbt..

Alraitee, before you learn how to draw, let me show you the gadgets that you should have to be a portrait artist. The basic instruments for drawing including pencils (for pencil sketching) or pen (for pen sketching), drawing block or an ordinary A4 paper, and don't forget an eraser to erase  your mistakes!!

Ok, don't worry,  these gadgets are available in the any book stores and you can stop by any times to grab them. For the starter, it is better for you to use A4 paper because using drawing block is quite wasteful especially when you do so many mistakes by right..haha...

Once you have all these gadgets then I will start to share how to sketch a portrait, ok? Don’t forget to catch me in the next entry..see ya..:)

Drawing A Portrait

Assalamualaikum wbt...

Well, as promised, today I want to share something that is very interesting about the world of portrait drawing. So far, I don’t share any of my arts, but I will talk about the kind of portrait that I always draw. The first type is a portrait drawn with ordinary pencil or charcoal pencil, and the second type is the portrait drawn by using pen. For drawing using pencil, I usually take about one to two hours to complete a portrait, while for drawing using pen, I usually take a short while, which is about 30 minutes to one hour.

Now, let’s talk about portrait drawing using pencils. It is not a simple work to be done; actually it needs an extra efforts and willing to make a high quality portrait, especially when you draw your customer's portrait. Anyhow, every ‘sweat’ makes worthy when your customers satisfy with your art and they start promoting your talent in their Facebook. Yeah, that's the path to get known as a portrait artist.

Drawing with pencil allows you to make as much as mistakes as you can, so, to start learning portrait drawing, start with the pencil. As me, I start to draw a portrait since I was in Form 2. During that time, I was very obsessed with Korean actor named Won Bin. I started to sketch his face on a paper and kept it in my pocket file that I always bring to school. My career started there when my friends recognized that face and they start to yell: “Eh, tu Won Bin kan..?Pandai la lukis, cantik..Tolong lukis jugak..”

See, that’s why it is important to publicize your arts directly or indirectly. Direct publication is by expertise your arts in Facebook or Blog, or any social networks available by rights of your name. An indirect publication is by drawing someone portrait and give to them as gift for wedding, birthday etc. with your own watermarks. These are just the examples ok..?haha

Truly, I don’t really want to talk about how to draw a portrait using pencil step by steps, but I will talk about it later more precisely about it in my next entry soon. Don’t forget to catch and read about it later. There is lots of information I want to share. Notice a lot of grammar errors huh? Just ignore it, still improving my English. Haha…
